Trade Adjustment Assistance


Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) helps trade-affected
workers who have lost their jobs as a result of increased
imports or shifts in production out of the United States.

TAA benefits and services are provided to help eligible
workers get back to work.  Workers who are certified
adversely affected by foreign trade must apply for
individual services and benefits through their local
One-Stop Center to determine individual eligibility for
reemployment services and benefits.

Affected workers may receive one or more of the following Reemployment Trade Act Services at the
One-Stop Centers:

cJob Search Registration
cEmployment Counseling
cCase Assessment
cJob Development
cSupportive Services
cSelf-Directed Job Search Services
cJob Search Allowances
cRelocation Allowance
cBasic or remedial education, classroom training OR
             employer-based training
cInformation on Health Care Tax Credit (HCTC)
cAlternative Trade Adustment Assistance (ATAA)
