Glens Falls Recreation Department
Several openings for summer 2007 for high school and college students, and adults looking for temporary employment. Positions available are: qualified lifeguards, lifeguard supervisors, swim instructors, recration attendants, and recreation leaders. Positions are full time from mid-June through Labor Day.

Required to attend employee seminar and their manager provides training

When youth comes in to fill out an application they look for maturity.

Youth fill out an application; human resource staff debriefs them, and the director talks with them.

Applications are accepted anytime but the best time for summer employment is April - May. |

They will hire for summer or year round depending on the youths schedule.

The youth would fill out an application and return it to customer service or complete application on-line. Then there is an interview if human resources likes the information on the application.
